I'm ruby and I was born and raised on the island of Martha's Vineyard, off the coast of Massachusetts, in the North Eastern USA. From a young age, I have travelled to places near and far, first with my parents who were in a blues band and toured, with me in tow, to South Africa, Switzerland, and many places in the USA, and then on my own and with friends and boyfriends. My love of travel endures, and every year, for at least part of the year, I go on an adventure. Read about and see photos of my travels here, and get advice on places to stay and eat and go. 

While at home, on Martha's Vineyard, I am a gardener, and love growing flowers, planting pots and boxes, and designing and planting veggie beds to eat from. I also assist with planning and organizing weddings. 

I love making things with my hands (clothing, collage cards, etc.), and cooking all manner of food, with an inclination towards whole foods cooking, and healthy treats! While home, from time to time I will post recipes, and photos of things I'm working on.
